Hi!

I'm Victoria Wascher, M.A., CCC-SLP, and I’m the founder of Chatterbox Speech Therapy, Inc.

I’m a licensed speech-language pathologist based in Culver City, California, dedicated to helping children and families build meaningful, authentic communication skills.

About our Founder

Education & Background

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University and my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Washington State University.

I hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed to practice in California.

I’m also an active member of ASHA and the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA).

As a three-time recipient of ASHA’s Award for Continuing Education (ACE Award) — in 2018, 2020, and 2023 — I’m recognized for my ongoing commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.

Specialties & Approach

My clinical specialties include:
• Early language development and early intervention
• Gestalt Language Processing using the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework
• Speech sound development and therapy, using appropriate articulation and phonological approaches
• Parent coaching to promote carryover at home

I take a relationship-based, strengths-focused approach to therapy — blending evidence-based methods with connection and joy.

Every child deserves to feel confident and comfortable, and every family deserves guidance that feels practical, encouraging, and tailored to their daily life.

Play-based. Connection-first. Rooted in Evidence

Ongoing Learning & Specialized Trainings

I believe there’s always more to learn — and that continuing education helps me bring the best possible support to every child and family I serve.

Some of my advanced certifications and trainings include:

  • Hanen Centre certifications in It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words, focused on helping parents nurture early language and social communication.

  • Certification in Gestalt Language Processing and the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) Framework, supporting children who communicate using delayed echolalia or “scripts.”

  • Sensory Certification Course, integrating sensory regulation strategies to help children feel calm, engaged, and ready to learn.

  • Social Thinking® Methodology, supporting social awareness, flexible thinking, and self-regulation.

  • Advanced Speech Sound Trainings through Graham Speech Therapy, LLC, including:

    • Lateral Lisp Remediation

    • /R/ Remediation

    • Generalization of Speech Sounds

  • CPR and First Aid Certified (renewed 8/2024)

Lifelong learning means every session is backed by

current research and real-world experience.

A Personal Note

I’m passionate about building genuine, trusting relationships with every family I meet. My goal is for each child to feel supported, understood, and celebrated for who they are — because real progress happens when therapy feels safe, engaging, and meaningful.

As both a speech-language pathologist and a mom, I understand how important it is to connect with and trust the person who is helping your child. I bring empathy, curiosity, and respect into every session — taking time to see and celebrate each child’s unique strengths, personality, and way of communicating.

For me, the most rewarding part of this work is watching children grow in confidence and joy as they find their voice — and walking alongside families as we celebrate each step together

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, traveling, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
