Child -Led
Child-led therapy follows the child's natural interests and needs to increase engagement. Unlike adult-directed sessions where the therapist chooses the activities, child-led therapy allows the child to explore what captures their attention. This approach boosts motivation and encourages more effective communication.
Play-Based
Children learn best through hands-on play. Unlike flashcards or drills, toys and real life objects provide a natural context for language learning. Through play, children build vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, problem solving, social skills, and flexible thinking — all while having fun!
Intrinsically Motivating
Activities that are fun and meaningful help children communicate because they want to — not just to earn a reward. Intrinsic motivation encourages participation and new skill development because the activity itself is engaging. When therapy is enjoyable, children feel more connected, curious, and involved.
Connection
Building a trusting relationship with both the child and their family is key to success. When a child feels safe and connected, they're more likely to participate and communicate. That's why we take the time to build authentic relationships and truly get to know the child — so they feel comfortable, confident, and ready to grow.
